Mountain State Mastiffs is located in the Central West Virginia.
Our state is known as the Mountain State, Wild Wonderful West Virginia.
That is how we decided upon the kennel name, "Mountain State Mastiffs"

We do not breed our mastiffs at this time, we are wanting to concentrate right now on loving them unconditionally, enjoying them, spoiling them, and getting them in the show ring. However if we do decide to breed in the future, we would only do so with the support, guidance & approval of the wonderful Leah & Stephen Napotnik & Larry & Laurie Miller of Virginia.

We got our first English mastiff in 2008, "Stormy"  -aka-  "Greiner Hall Angelic Spitfire - Built 2 Perfection" she came from Leah & Stephen Napotnik of Greiner Hall Mastiffs in Virginia, and to say the least we fell hopelessly, head over hills in love with the breed.
Stormy is so special to us.  She exhibits overall correct Old English breed type, sound movement and structure, she has a very gentle, friendly personality with everyone she meets.
Leah & stephen told me that she reminds them so much of their Greiner Hall Medicine Lady.

In 2009 we decided it was time to add another English mastiff to our family and that’s how we found our "Brutus"  -aka- "Greiner Hall The Rock- A Force 2-BE Recond With"  Brutus is a very massive dog in all respects, and he moves very well from all angles. He has an outstanding sweet nature about him and an exceptional temperament. He reminds me a lot of his massive Sire,  Greiner Hall Brutus.

 * Both of our mastiff's come from the established Greiner Hall lines, exhibiting all the consistently strong "Old English Mastiff" attributes long associated with the Greiner Hall breeding program, including strong bone and structure, a deep and wide body, and square, wrinkled head.
